Please support the 1st Japanese patient who needs a simultaneous transplant of both a heart and liver.

"I don't want to give up living!!" says Banri.

My name is Banri Hashimoto. I was born with a heart defect. In the past few years my liver has also begun to fail. My only chance for recovery is a heart and liver transplant. In Japan, it's impossible to have this operation, as it isn't recognised. My only chance is to have one in the US.

Since I was a baby, I have had only limited daily activities and my life has been very difficult. There are so many things about life that I'd like to discover and feel and experience. But to do this, I need the transplant operation despite the enormous risks and cost!

I really want the chance of this operation so that I can live.

Surgery of this type is impossible in Japan. Banri would be the first Japanese (outside of USA) to have this dual operation. The medical cost has been quoted at between US$ 2 - 3 million.
